Recently, I’ve been spending time baking no-flour recipes. A lot of people have been baking to pass the time during the quarantine, and this has resulted in grocery shortages across the country. One of the hardest things to get right now is flour! It really makes me realize how we take basic essentials for granted. I’ve always loved baking, so now is a great time to try new recipes.
I’ve been baking with flour substitutes for a while now. I try to stay on a low-carb diet as much as I can, and using almond flour and/or coconut flour means I can still have a treat without feeling guilty about it.
In the past, I’ve found that flourless recipes can be really dense and heavy. But I’m always experimenting to find new treats that I can add to my regular rotation.
