BELIF The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb | Review
Does Belief cream make me believe in my skin again? Read my Belif cream review to find out!
Living in Canada, my skin really goes through it. Winter is basically 8 months long. Between the frigid weather in the winter and suffocating heat in the summer, my skin starts to resemble a lizard and not in a cute way. The T-zone is my trouble area, and I get such awful flaky skin. It can be so frustrating because I feel like I do everything you’re supposed to: cleanse and exfoliate, wear light/minimal makeup, drink 10 gallons of water a day, and pray to the skin gods. This past winter, I was at my wit’s end. It was time to take drastic action.
I decided I would invest in a good cream from Sephora. I was willing to spend up to 50 bucks (more than I’ve ever spent on a moisturizer) and I wanted something with natural ingredients. And it had to be lightly scented, thats a non-negotiable. When I came across Belif cream, I was intrigued.
According to the description, it’s a “cushiony cream that provides dull, flaky skin with an explosion of comforting moisture, leaving it feeling supple, smooth, and deeply nourished”. They claim to be appropriate for all skin types and skin concerns. Notable ingredients include oat extract and panthenol. And it has the Clean at Sephora badge, which means it does not have dangerous or irritating ingredients. The cream has a 4.6/5 with almost 3000 reviews, so I decided to go ahead and purchase it.
The cream comes in a recyclable box with no unnecessary packaging, which I appreciate. The container is a nice shape that looks cute on the counter.
The cream seems to just be in the smaller part on the top. The bottom is seems to just be there for aesthetics and to read the label.
The cream itself is so rich and creamy. It has a very light scent, a bit herbal and a bit citrusy. Just a dab is enough for my whole face. I like to use it at night after a shower. It absorbs really well and leave my skin feeling amazingly soft. It’s not greasy and I don’t feel like I need to wash my hands after applying.
This cream really rejuvenated my skin! I saw a substantial improvement in both softness and smoothness. The dry, flaky patches disappeared and I didn’t experience any breakouts or irritation. It’s a bit of a heavy cream, so I don’t use it under makeup, but that’s just cause I personally prefer a lighter moisturizer for daytime. You could totally use this as a day cream if you like that extra moisture during the day!
Overall, I would highly recommend this Belif moisturizer. It’s a bit pricey, but since you only need a tiny amount at a time it actually provides pretty good value. It’s a heavy cream that doesn’t feel heavy on my skin. I’ve been using this almost every night for 6 months, and I will definitely be repurchasing this in the future.
