ProX by Olay Microdermabrasion Plus Advanced Facial Cleansing Brush System | Review
As I’ve mentioned in other posts, I tend to have really dry skin on my face. I’m always looking for ways to exfoliate and moisturize. Last winter, I picked up the ProX by Olay Microdermabrasion Plus Advanced Facial Cleansing Brush System. Did it make a difference for my skin?
What’s in the box?
So the brush system comes in a nice boxed set. It includes the cleansing brush, two different heads, and two different cleansers. Let’s break it down:
Facial Cleansing Brush
The brush feels comfortable in hand and is super easy to use. Pressing the power button turns it on and changes the speed. It’s water resistant, so you can use it in the shower if you like.
Microdermabrasion Foam Head and Soft Bristle Head
I like to rotate between the two heads. The foam head is great for exfoliating, and the bristle is perfect for getting a squeaky clean feel. They both wash really well, and even after using for a while are still in good shape.
Thermal Crystal Polisher
This is a granular cleanser, but it doesn’t feel rough on my skin. It’s effective at removing dry patches and leaving my skin smooth.
Exfoliating Renewal Cleanser
I like to use this on my non-exfoliating days. It’s a gently cleanser that removes dirt and oil from my skin.
It has three speeds, but I use it on the lowest-middle usually. I used the highest speed once and it just sprayed the cleanser all over my face! The lower speeds still give me a really deep clean without making a mess. But maybe you’re more coordinated than me, so the higher speed could work for you.
According to Olay, you will notice results after 2-5 days of use. I can confirm that I noticed a difference in texture and hydration immediately. It worked so well to exfoliate and remove the flaky patches, and replace them with smooth and soft skin. My pores appear smaller and tighter, and my skin tone is more balanced.
I have been using it about once or twice a week for the last 6 months. I alternate between the microdermabrasion and soft bristle heads. Personally, I like to use it after a shower so my skin is still damp and my pores are still open. I haven’t noticed any sensitivity or irritation after using.
This cleansing system has been an essential part of my skincare routine. I haven’t worn makeup the past few months, and this has helped me feel confident to leave the house with a fresh, natural face.
This is an essential part of my skin care routine! My skin feels so clean and fresh after using it. It feels moisturized and not tight at all. It’s fairly affordable ($35-45 CDN, depending on where you buy it) for what you get; I’m still using the original cleansers that it came with. And it’s a sustainable choice because its reusable and doesn’t produce waste. I definitely recommend the ProX by Olay Microdermabrasion Plus Advanced Facial Cleansing Brush System.
